A few rules regarding individual medical coverage that need to be addressed -
There is NO SUCH THING as an individual medical policy that can single you out for cancellation (except in cases of fraud or misrepresentation by the policyholder).
There is NO SUCH THING as an individual medical policy that can single you out for rate increases because of claims.
There is NO SUCH THING as an individual medical policy that won't cover job related injuries and sicknesses if you're self employed and not required by law to be covered by Worker's Comp or similar liabillity coverage.
If someone trying to sell you a plan tells you otherwise, ask that agent if it's OK for you to record it!
